SAP FI/CO Systems Analyst II - Truist

We are seeking an experienced FI/CO S/4 HANA functional resource, who has a background in Accounts Payable, Asset Accounting, General Ledger, Project Systems and Group Reporting. This position will involve enhancing and supporting our financial platforms within the SAP landscape. You will be responsible for evaluating customer needs, designing robust solutions, and collaborating with other team members to ensure the successful implementation of these solutions.

Additionally, you will be involved in a multi-year conversion from the current ECC application suite to the new S4 Hana platform, and will play a key role in driving successful implementation of this large‑scale conversion.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Gather, analyze and translate complex business requirements into functional and technical specifications with financial context.
  • Collaborate closely with lines of business finance partners and third‑party vendors to develop integrations and enhancements.
  • Provide technical team members and users with functional assistance solving business issues and application‑related problems within SAP and other applications.
  • Plan and execute appropriate testing (e.g. test plans, test cases, and test scripts) to comprehensively test assigned enhancements to business applications.
  • Coordinate the installation and application enhancements and/or releases.
  • Expand or modify applications to serve new purposes or improve workflow.
  • Assess the usefulness of pre‑developed application packages and adapt them to a user environment.
  • Develop, document and revise flow chart’s system design procedures, test procedures and quality standards.
  • Support data governance, quality, and compliance initiatives, ensuring system controls align with financial regulations (e.g. SOX, internal/external audits).
  • Proactively identify opportunities for automation and process improvements to enhance efficiency and user experience.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology‑related field, or equivalent education and related training.
  • Six years of experience or equivalent proficiency in application analysis and design.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as a member of a team.
  • Ability to direct and train other team associates.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with end‑to‑end migration of SAP ECC to S/4 HANA.
  • Comfort in working with business and technical partners alike, this role bridges that gap.
  • Preferred experience in a banking/finance context with knowledge of financial accounting concepts.
  • Excellent problem‑solving, communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Sitting – Constantly (More than 50% of the time).

  • Visual / Audio / Speaking – Able to access and interpret client information received from the computer and able to hear and speak with individuals in person and on the phone.
  • Manual Dexterity / Keyboarding – Able to work standard office equipment, including PC keyboard and mouse, copy/fax machines, and printers.
  • Availability – Able to work all hours scheduled, including overtime as directed by manager/supervisor and required by business need.
  • Travel – Minimal and up to 10%.
Benefits

All regular teammates (not temporary or contingent workers) working 20 hours or more per week are eligible for benefits, though eligibility for specific benefits may be determined by the division of Truist offering the position.
