Computer Programmer
Research and troubleshoot problems with existing processes and software to develop problem resolution. Must be able to multitask in a large capacity. Also be able to provide assistance as needed to support any and all IT functions.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:- Requires basic knowledge of EDI transactions and terminology
- Requires basic knowledge of XML and C language
- Five or more years of computer skills, including but not limited to database experience.
- Good customer support skills and very detailed.
Modern ERP systems (Sage, SAP, Oracle, Epicor, etc.), as well as broad knowledge of various software and accessibility features and tools
DUTIES:- Research and troubleshoot problems with existing processes and software and report findings to higher level management and/or customer.
- Write detailed work instructions, give clear direction, work with programmers or vendors to develop problem resolution
- Test a wide variety of scenarios when new process or transactions are created
- Participate in additional training when needed and be willing to increase their education if necessary
- Perform elementary programming tasks to troubleshoot issues
- Read and determine when an error exists in EDI code and provide a resolution
- Systems Administration including deploying/admin of: VMware and Hyper‑V, 2012 R2 servers, Exchange/O-365, Anti‑Virus, SCCM admin, Active Directory and Group Policy, DNS. SQL, SharePoint, and E‑Commerce.
- Networking including: DHCP, TCP/IP, Cisco layer 3 switching and routing, wireless APs (autonomous & controller based), Cisco routers, VO/IP, V‑Lans, network trouble shooting and cabling.
- Security: VPNs, ACLs, firewall basics. Help provide path to achieving and maintaining required Department of Defense Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) level or above.
- Ability to train and educate employees where necessary on standard company required programs.
- Team and customer service-oriented
- Desktop: installation & administration, troubleshooting, setup and repair. Maintain copiers, printers, fax server, etc.
- Backups:
Ensure all databases are backed up locally, offsite, and/or in a cloud. Also, ensure any program code (including any modifications/enhancements) to existing ERP, EDI, and manufacturing software are backed up. - Building Security:
Work with third party vendors and IOB owned systems to help keep building secure and fire alarms working properly to help employees feel safe at work. - Researches, analyzes, troubleshoots and resolves telecommunications related problems
