Parking Operations and Campus Access Management is committed to establishing, maintaining, and improving a quality, campus access management program that strives to open accessibility and enhance the University experience for students, faculty, staff and guests.

Parking Operations and Campus Access Management are seeking qualified applicants on a temporary basis for entry-level Vehicle/Equipment Operator positions that may come available.

Duties include:

• Responsibility for operating a bus on assigned route and schedule
• Provide safe and efficient transportation of students, faculty, and staff
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the bus and report mechanical defects or failures to the Transportation Manager
• Obey all traffic laws and University regulations while operating the bus; create a customer service-oriented environment for users
• Complete all required reports and secure the vehicle before leaving

When the Department temporarily needs a Vehicle/Equipment Operator, they will consider applicants that have applied to this temp pool.

Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.
Requires appropriate licenses or certifications to operate assigned types of vehicles or equipment.

Required Licensure Valid North Carolina A, B, or C, Commercial Driver’s License with a passenger endorsement
