Accounting Supervisor, Affordable Housing

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor for our affordable housing portfolio, exceeding 15,000 units, based in Greensboro, NC, and reporting to the Controller. This role manages property accounting for numerous properties, collaborating with property managers, directors, residents, and vendors to ensure accurate, timely, and complete financial execution.

• Three to five years of direct management experience in an accounting role strongly preferred
• Knowledge of accounting in the multi-family property management industry is preferred
• Advanced level knowledge with MS Office Suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel (including Excel functions)
• Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Creates a climate in which associates want to do their best by leading and communicating a shared vision with associates and providing coaching and development
• Prior experience in Res Man software or other property management system a plus

• Supervises the Accounting Department, responsible for:
  • Accounts payable and reserve processing
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Move-out dispositions/refunds
  • Vendor Management (W-9s and 1099 requirements)
• Security deposit audit/analysis
