Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor – Home Care and Infusion Services

The Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor provides clinical leadership, supervision, and oversight of home care and infusion services to ensure high‑quality, client‑centered care in compliance with NC state regulations and NCBON standards.

This position oversees nursing and personal care services, including IV infusion therapy, medication administration, and in‑home aide supervision, while maintaining a professional demeanor and promoting a collaborative team environment. The RN Supervisor serves as a clinical resource for clients and staff and coordinates care with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals. Offering flexible schedule.

• Conduct initial and ongoing nursing assessments to determine client needs and develop individualized Plans of Care (POC).
• Provide and supervise skilled nursing services, including IV infusion therapy, wound care, and medication administration, in accordance with physician orders and agency policy.
• Supervise LPNs, PCAs, and CNAs, ensuring proper delegation and compliance with North Carolina’s nursing scope of practice.
• Perform supervisory and competency visits for staff per regulatory guidelines.
• Ensure complete and accurate documentation in client charts and electronic health records.
• Train and evaluate nursing staff and in‑home aides on clinical procedures, infection control, IV therapy protocols, and essential home care skills.
• Maintain current knowledge and competency in IV therapy techniques and infusion equipment.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to field staff to promote professional development and confidence in care delivery.
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and infusion partners to ensure safe and effective home infusion therapy.
• Work closely with Occupational Therapists (OTs), Physical Therapists (PTs), and other disciplines to coordinate interdisciplinary client care.
• Communicate effectively with staff, clients, and families while demonstrating professionalism, empathy, and a positive approach in all interactions.
• Participate in Quality Assurance (QA) and Performance Improvement (PI) activities to enhance service outcomes.

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license with the North Carolina Board of Nursing (unencumbered).
• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience, including at least 1 year in home health, infusion therapy, or community nursing.
• Demonstrated proficiency in IV infusion therapy and vascular access device management.
• Strong organizational, documentation, and leadership skills.
• Professional demeanor with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Good computer skills, including familiarity with electronic charting or EMR systems, Microsoft Office, and email communication.
• Current CPR certification and valid NC driver’s license with reliable transportation.

• Prior experience as an RN Supervisor, Case Manager, or Director of Clinical Services in home care or infusion therapy preferred.
• Knowledge of Medicaid PCS, CAP, or private‑pay home care programs.
• Experience coordinating interdisciplinary teams in community settings.
