Nurse Extern

The Nurse Extern NT II plays a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support within the organization. Working under direct supervision, this role assists the nursing staff in delivering comprehensive healthcare services and contributes to the overall well-being of patients. This position collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of care.

Responsibilities include:

• Assists in the assessment and monitoring of patients' physical and mental health status.
• Provides direct patient care, performing treatments, and assisting with procedures.
• Documents patient information accurately and maintains up-to-date medical records.
• Collaborates with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Monitors and reports changes in patients' conditions to the nursing staff.
• Adheres to infection control protocols and maintains a safe and clean environment for patients.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

Required:

High School Diploma or equivalent, Rising senior in college actively enrolled and in an approved school of Nursing. Completion of Nursing Assistant I and II training program

EXPERIENCE:

No experience required.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:

Required:

NAI Certification| Nurse Aid I
NAII Certification | Nursing Assistant II
BLS (CPR) | AHA Health Care Provider BLS
Currently listed, in good standing, as Nurse Aide I with the North Carolina, Division of Facilities Services.
