Description:
This position is for the Emergency Department. The department will manage a variety of patient conditions. The staff will work with patients of all ages, including geriatric, adult, and pediatric populations. Typical diagnoses include COPD, DKA, Sepsis, Cardiac Emergencies, Neurological Emergencies, and strokes. The facility has a total of 21 beds, with 12 telemetry beds, 3 behavioral health beds, and 5 fast-track rooms.
Patient ratios average 1:5. Emergency equipment is utilized throughout the department. The electronic health record system used is Cerner. Candidates should be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and must be strong team players. Psych ER experience is a plus. Dress code requires scrubs in any color, but unacceptable attire includes open-toed footwear, spandex pants, and sweatshirts. This role requires weekend hours every other weekend and some holidays.
Float requirements will be as needed.
