American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring EPIC proficiency and prior triage experience.

• General Emergency Department treating combined adult/pediatric, non-trauma patients
• Night shift, 4x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Weekend requirement of at least 8 shifts per contract, plus holidays as needed
• Floating required to any campus within the health system as needed
• Utilizes EPIC EMR system

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) in hand at time of consideration
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in the Emergency Department required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Experience with blood product administration, central line care/management, phlebotomy, and starting IVs
• Experience with continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, and procedural sedation administration/monitoring
• Experience with CPAP/BiPAP management, ABG interpretation, and care of ventilated patients
• Triage experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred

• Responsibilities include dysrhythmia interpretation/EKG testing, isolation precautions/PPE, and triage
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (pass/fail, two attempts allowed) regardless of specialty
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rate
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Orientation includes hospital orientation followed by one shift on the unit
