American Traveler is hiring an Emergency Department RN for a night shift position requiring at least 2 years of ED experience and EPIC proficiency.

• General Emergency Department setting treating combined adult/pediatric, non-trauma patients
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Minimum of 8 weekend shifts required per contract, plus holidays as needed
• Floating required to any campus within the health system as needed

• Active NC or Compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in the Emergency Department required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Experience with blood product administration, central line care/management, phlebotomy, and starting IVs required
• Experience with continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, and procedural sedation administration/monitoring required
• Experience with CPAP/BiPAP management, ABG interpretation, and care of ventilated patients required
• Triage experience required
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (up to two attempts allowed)

• Provide emergency nursing care across a combined adult/pediatric, non-trauma ED population
• Experience in shock/trauma and gunshot wound cases is preferred
• Experience with CVA (cerebrovascular accident) care is preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted
• RTO must be submitted at the time of application; no post-submission RTO requests accepted
