Job Opportunity – Pediatric Nurse – North Carolina

Start Date: September 24, 2026

Location: North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 48 hours guaranteed per week with overtime after 48 hours; 6 weekend shifts per month (2 must be Saturdays); 13-week contract

Highlights:

• 19-bed Pediatric and Oncology unit with combined patient population
• Patient ratios of 1:3 to 1:5 depending on acuity
• Collaborative team with RNs, charge nurses, respiratory therapists, and patient care technicians on each shift
• Cerner EMR system with Alaris pump technology
• 4-hour hospital orientation followed by 8-hour unit-specific shift
• Rapid response coverage; special scheduling requests cannot be accommodated

Requirements:

• Active RN license in North Carolina
• Hospital-based pediatric nursing experience required
• Pediatric oncology experience required
• Current BLS, PALS, and APHON certifications
• Ability to float to PICU and NICU as needed
• Detail-oriented, organized, and team-focused approach to patient care
