American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele night shift position requiring prior travel assignment experience and Epic proficiency.

• Inpatient rehabilitation unit specializing in CVA, TBI, ABI, spinal cord injury, and neurological diagnoses
• Patient ratio of 1:6, with one unit rotating a 1:7 ratio matched to equivalent acuity
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Required to work every third weekend and holidays as needed
• Float required between all campuses within the health system
• Uses Epic EMR

• Active NC or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Previous travel nurse assignment experience required
• Acute care rehab experience preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Experience with dressing changes, aseptic/sterile procedure tray setup, specimen labeling, phlebotomy, and capillary/throat/urine collection
• Experience with lab result interpretation, medication reconciliation, patient health history intake, and vital sign monitoring

• Provide specialized rehabilitative nursing care to patients recovering from stroke, aneurysm, or post-surgical neurological conditions
• Perform telephone triage and manage pharmacy refill requests
• All RNs must pass a compliance EKG exam, with two attempts allowed and no study materials provided by the facility
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
