American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN with Med/Surg Telemetry experience for a day shift position requiring EPIC proficiency and a passing EKG exam score.

• Inpatient rehabilitation unit specializing in CVA, TBI, ABI, Spinal Cord Injury, neurological diagnoses, and generalized debility
• Cares for patients recovering from stroke, aneurysm, and post-surgical conditions requiring specialized rehab care
• Patient ratio of 1:6, with one unit using a rotating 1:7 ratio at equivalent acuity
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Works every third weekend and holidays as needed
• Required to float between all Cone Health campuses as needed
• Uses EPIC EMR system

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required in hand at time of consideration
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and dysrhythmia/EKG interpretation
• Experience with dressing changes, aseptic/sterile procedure setup, specimen collection, phlebotomy, and medication reconciliation
• Valid driver's license required for address verification

• Responsibilities include interpretation of lab results, medication reconciliation, patient health history review, vital signs monitoring, and telephone triage
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam during onboarding, with two attempts allowed
• RTO requests must be submitted with the initial application; no post-submission RTO accepted
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; no local rates apply
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
