Travel Nurse Source is working with All Medical Personnel to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in High Country, North Carolina!

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Float)

Hickory, NC | Acute Care
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights | Alternating schedule (Jack/Jill): 4 shifts one week, 3 shifts the next | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Every 3rd weekend required
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care as a float RN across multiple Medical Surgical departments
Adapt to varying unit needs while maintaining high standards of patient safety and clinical care
Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using facility charting systems
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support patient care plans and outcomes
Adhere to facility policies, compliance requirements, and unit-specific protocols
Required Qualifications
Active North Carolina RN license or valid Compact RN license (must be at least pending with a clear ETA)
BLS certification required (must be issued by the American Heart Association)
Willingness and ability to float across all Medical Surgical departments (excluding CCU, Psych, and Rehab)
Must complete required lab work within 72 hours of contract signing
Local candidates are welcome and accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
Previous experience in a Medical Surgical float pool or multi-unit setting
Familiarity with Meditech charting (not required but beneficial)
ACLS or PALS certification via the American Heart Association
