American Traveler is hiring a Neuro PCU RN with NC or compact license, requiring 2+ years of neuro progressive care experience and Epic EMR proficiency.
Requirements- Active NC or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Neuro PCU experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Experience with CVA care, external CPAP/BiPAP, TR Band, and Yale Swallowing Screen required
- Dysrhythmia interpretation and EKG skills required
- Experience with cardiac drip management (no titration)
- Isolation precautions and PPE competency required
- Previous Charge RN experience preferred
- PICC line and peripheral line care experience preferred
- 30-bed Medical Neuroscience Progressive Care unit caring for medical neurological patients
- Centralized Cardiac Monitoring Department provides cardiac surveillance support
- Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00am-7:30pm
- Rotating weekend requirement
- Patient ratio of 1:5
- Floating required as needed across any Cone Health campus
- Self-scheduling conducted via Optilink in 6-week blocks
- Provide progressive care nursing to neurological patients, including cardiac monitoring and emergency response
- All RNs must pass a compliance EKG exam with up to two attempts allowed
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; no local rates apply
- RTO must be submitted at the time of application; no post-submission RTO requests accepted
