American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neuro Progressive Care Unit position requiring Neuro PCU experience and NC or compact RN licensure.

• Work in a 30-bed Medical Neuroscience Progressive Care unit caring primarily for medical neurological patients
• Centralized Cardiac Monitoring Department provides monitoring surveillance for patients
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00am-7:30pm
• Rotating weekend requirement
• Float required as needed, including to any Cone Health campus
• Epic EMR experience required
• Staff self-schedules in 6-week periods via Optilink

• Active RN license (NC or compact) in hand at time of consideration
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Neuro PCU experience required
• Experience with CVA, external CPAP/BiPAP, TR band, and Yale Swallowing Screen required
• Previous Charge RN experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Skills required include respiratory management, non-invasive airway management, tracheostomy care, IV therapy/phlebotomy, central line care, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and telemetry monitoring
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (two attempts allowed)
• Current driver's license required to verify address

• Provide nursing care to medical neurological patients in a progressive care/stepdown setting
• Manage cardiac drips without titration
• Perform isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates within that radius accepted
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• RTO must be submitted with application; no post-submission RTO accepted
