American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a night shift position requiring 2+ years of ED experience and an active NC or compact RN license.

• General Emergency Department serving combined adult/pediatric patients
• Level I and Level II Trauma Center with non-trauma ED capability, STEMI and Stroke certified facility
• Patient ratios of 1:4-5 depending on staffing and patient volume
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Required to work 2 weekend shifts or 4 weekend days per 6-week period
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required to any Cone Health campus as needed

• Active NC or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of ED RN experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Preferred certifications: CPI, PALS, TNCC
• Epic EMR experience required
• Previous Charge RN experience preferred
• Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
• Skills include IV therapy/phlebotomy, starting and maintaining IVs, blood product administration, central line care, BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, ABG interpretation, continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience preferred in arterial line management, ICP monitoring, neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, traumatic amputation, near drowning, and ortho trauma
• Triage experience preferred
• Current driver's license required to verify address

• Provide emergency nursing care across shock/trauma, pediatrics, cardiac monitoring, and orthopedic trauma presentations
• All RNs must pass a compliance EKG exam with up to two attempts allowed, regardless of specialty
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility, as no local rates apply
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Modules are completed during orientation and are non-billable, averaging 2-4 hours depending on unit
