American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN with a NC or compact license and at least 2 years of emergency department experience for a 13-week night shift assignment.

• Work in a General Emergency Department treating combined adult/pediatric patients
• Patient ratios of 1:4-5 depending on staffing and patient volume
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Required to work 2 weekend shifts or 4 weekend days per 6 weeks
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating to any campus within the health system as needed

• Active NC or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required
• CPI, PALS, and TNCC certifications preferred
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
• Previous Charge RN experience preferred
• Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and starting/maintaining IVs
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience in triage preferred
• Experience with arterial line management preferred
• Experience with neuro-trauma, CVA, ICP monitoring, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury preferred
• Experience with ortho trauma preferred
• Valid driver's license required to verify address

• Provide emergency care across a wide range of patient presentations including shock/trauma, pediatrics, and cardiac emergencies
• All RNs must pass a compliance EKG exam during onboarding, with up to two attempts allowed
• Study materials for the EKG exam are not provided by the facility; candidates should prepare in advance
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• RTO requests must be submitted with the initial application; no post-submission RTO requests will be accepted
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel rate
