Debbies Staffing needs a Quality Assurance Technician for our client in Greensboro NC!

Must have prior supervisory experience, including experience directly managing employees, in addition to prior quality-related experience.

Pay $19.50

Hours:

2nd shift 3pm-11pm

The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for supporting and maintaining quality standards throughout the production process while providing day-to-day leadership and supervision to assigned Quality team members. This role combines hands‑on quality assurance responsibilities with demonstrated supervisory experience, including the management of direct reports. The Quality Assurance Technician serves as a resource for Quality Inspectors and production personnel, helping ensure that quality requirements, procedures, and company standards are consistently followed.

The position is expected to identify quality issues, assist with corrective actions, communicate findings, and help drive continuous improvement.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Perform quality inspections and testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished products according to established specifications and procedures.
  • Monitor production processes to identify quality concerns, trends, or deviations from established standards.
  • Provide day-to-day direction, coaching, and support to assigned Quality Inspectors and other Quality team members.
  • Manage direct reports, including assigning work, monitoring performance, providing feedback, and addressing routine performance issues.
  • Ensure Quality team members follow established inspection procedures, work instructions, safety requirements, and company policies.
  • Train and assist employees in quality procedures, inspection techniques, documentation requirements, and applicable standards.
  • Review inspection results and quality documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Identify nonconforming materials or products and assist with appropriate containment, disposition, and corrective actions.
  • Communicate quality issues and concerns to Production, Quality leadership, and other appropriate departments.
  • Assist with root‑cause investigations and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Monitor and report quality metrics and trends assigned.
  • Help maintain accurate quality records, inspection reports, and other required documentation.
  • Support audits, customer requirements, and regulatory or quality‑system requirements as applicable.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and make recommendations to Quality and Production leadership.
  • Serve as a working leader who can perform the duties of a Quality Inspector while providing leadership and oversight to the team.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Prior experience in quality assurance, quality inspection, manufacturing quality, or a related field.
  • Prior supervisory experience with responsibility for direct reports is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and hold employees accountable for performance and adherence to procedures.
  • Strong understanding of quality inspection principles, procedures, and documentation.
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions, specifications, drawings, or other technical documents as applicable.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with Production and other departments.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to accurately complete electronic or written documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Experience with quality management systems, corrective action processes, or root‑cause analysis.
  • Experience training or developing Quality Inspectors or other production employees.
  • Familiarity with ISO, customer‑specific, or other applicable quality standards.
  • Experience using inspection equipment or measurement tools relevant to the operation.
