This position is expected to perform research in the area of alcohol-related organ injury. The research projects aim at understanding the cellular and molecular mechanisms of alcohol‑induced pathogenesis at the gut‑liver axis and exploring preventive and/or therapeutic interventions. Data generated from the projects will be used to support external funding applications.

• Ph.D. degree in the field of Biological Sciences.
• Experience in cellular and molecular biology.
• Experienced in using graphics and statistical software to analyze and present data.
• A record of research productivity in peer‑reviewed journals and/or scientific meetings.

• Experience in handling mouse models.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a research team.

• Conduct independent research using both rodent models and in vitro cell models to explore the pathogenesis of alcohol-related organ injury, including design and implement research protocols, collect and analyze research data, and adapt new procedures, methods or instrumentation relative to research procedures.
• Manage and maintain mouse colonies, including breeding, genotyping, keeping census, and providing mice as needed for experiments.
• Present research findings at scientific meetings and prepare manuscripts for publications based on the research findings.
• Assist with ordering and procurement of supplies, equipment and general maintenance of laboratory.
