As a Security Officer – Academic Patrol Route in Greensboro, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within an educational location, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide exceptional customer service. You will conduct routine patrols, assist students and staff, and communicate clearly with all visitors.

• Provide customer service to clients, faculty, students, and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies within the educational environment.
• Perform regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify any unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations on campus in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols and site guidelines.
• Support emergency response activities as required by the location, including assisting with evacuations and reporting incidents to appropriate personnel.
• Monitor and report any security-related concerns or hazards discovered during patrols to site management and/or Allied Universal supervisors.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of incidents, activities, and observations during each shift as required by the site’s procedures.
• Serve as a visible Allied Universal representative, providing information and assistance to those on campus while promoting a secure environment.

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
