We're currently hiring operators for projects in the Piedmont-Triad region, including landfills, airports, and commercial site development.

What You'll Do

Operate various heavy equipment, including:

* Excavators

* Dozers

* Backhoes

* Loaders

* Graders

* Rollers

* Skid steers

* Tractors

Key Responsibilities:

* Read and interpret grade stakes, elevations, and site plans

* Excavate, move, and grade earth, and install structures

* Communicate effectively with supervisors and teammates

* Maintain safety, quality, and production standards

* Perform general labor duties when required

* Represent Sargent professionally and uphold our Core Values

What We're Looking For

Minimum Requirements:

* High school diploma or GED

* 3+ years of construction/heavy equipment experience (preferred)

* Valid driver's license

* Ability and willingness to travel (~75%)

Key Skills & Attributes:

* Proficiency operating heavy machinery

* Ability to judge slopes, distances, and elevations accurately

* Strong communication and listening skills

* Capacity to work outdoors in all weather conditions

* Physical ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, crawl, stoop, and use hand tools

* Visual and auditory ability appropriate for a construction site

Schedule

* 10-hour shifts

* Monday to Friday with some overtime
