III. JOB SUMMARYThe Maintenance Technician performs the maintenance, repair, and installation of Club equipment, furniture, masonry, building structures and HVAC. Knowledge of restaurant and hospitality-type equipment and machines is desired as well as a background in carpentry, plumbing and electrical.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Perform the maintenance, repair, or installation of Building systems including heating and air conditioning systems, and lighting.
- Building finishes including painting, plaster, laminates, windows, mirrors, ceilings, tiles, carpets, doors, door hardware and molding.
- Facility equipment including kitchen, ice, laundry, elevator, and pool equipment.
- Review maintenance requests and prioritize and perform necessary maintenance.
- Provide maintenance support and technical ability for club parties and other Club related activities on an as needed basis.
- Inspect and report any facility deficiencies to the Maintenance manager.
- Ensure all work areas are clean, orderly and safe.
- Ensure department goals and objectives are met.
- Flexibility is essential to the success of this position. The Maintenance Technician must be proactive in their dealings with all maintenance and repair situations.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of repairs through "Facility Dude" software including preventive maintenance programs for all equipment.
- Ensure prompt repairs by responding to emergency breakdowns.
- Promote communication as well as good relations between the maintenance staff and all departments.
- Ensure productivity, and quality of work standards are maintained.
- Responsible for the reliability of maintenance equipment.
- Maintain a professional relationship with all coworkers.
- Attends scheduled department staff meetings.
- Ensures confidentiality with regard to member and employee information as stated in the confidentiality agreement signed at point of hire during employment with GCC and after separation of employment.
- Organizational Skills/Attention to details and deadlines
- Strong Plumbing and electrical skills.
- Time management skills
- Computer skills to operate sophisticated computer driven HVAC systems
- Positive attitude and the ability to work closely with internal and external customers
- Understanding and knowledge of best safety practices
- Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated, organized, and a sense of urgency
- 3 years of experience in this field with HVAC and EPA certifications.
- Strong plumbing and electrical skills.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, use machine tools, and walk up and down stairs.
- Country Club experience a plus
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
- Ability to multi-task.
