Job Summary
The warehouse associate is responsible for receiving, shipping, inventory management, data entry, product movement, and transportation internally and externally. Must be able to operate forklifts and drive a company box truck to move products inside and outside of the building. Successfully operate X3 ERP systems, Starship Shipping Software, MS Outlook, and related computer skills to accurately enter and track all information used in the Shipping & Receiving Department.
Adapt and learn new processes and procedures to work collaboratively with team members inside and outside the department.
- Valid drivers' license
- Able to drive a box truck, conduct local pick up and drop off delivery – CDL not required
- Able to operate a sit‑down forklift, pallet jack, hand truck and other lifts
- Pick, palletize, process, and stage orders for shipment
- Use Starship software to ship orders
- Ensure outbound shipments match what is on the pick list
- Ensure customer shipping guidelines are followed
- Load truck
- Apply appropriate shipping labels and packing slip to order
- Ensure labels are accurate
- Ensure the carrier receives correct orders and sign B/L for LTL and TL shipments
- Inspect load for damage
- Unload truck
- Ensure product received matches what is documented on BOL
- Report discrepancies/damages to supervisor and purchasing
- Sign B/L
- Ensure proper counts of received goods by verifying packing list quantities
- Check for correct paperwork and that it matches the receipt
- Enter receipt into X3 software
- Put away product or stage for inspection
- Put away after inspection is complete and no issues
- Move inventory into a bin
- Move inventory to correct location (e.g., inspection area or a bin in the warehouse or production)
- Use X3 to complete inventory bin transfer
- Be able to cycle count inventory either from the daily cycle count report or when needed
- Daily verification of bin, item, and quantity ahead of year‑end inventory
- Flag errors with all UOMs for inventory
- Prepare warehouse for the start of day: place all safety equipment in place, including tire chocks and safety chains; ensure tow motor checklist is complete and process any shipments from the day before
- Close the shipping and receiving department, locking dock doors, clearing work and warehouse areas, and setting up the area for the next day
- Assist with the training of newly hired/transferred Shipping Associates
- Occasionally assume additional operation duties in the absence of shipping supervisor
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Basic computer skills necessary to process LTL and small package shipments
- Basic knowledge of MS Outlook, Starship shipping software, and X3 ERP system
- Basic math skill and the ability to use a calculator

- Keen attention to detail, with an ability to identify errors
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with an ability to work as an individual contributor and team player
- Strong customer service skills, able to successfully communicate with both internal and external clients
- Strong computer experience with X3 – Inventory Management software
High School Diploma or associate degree in business or law.
Physical Requirements- Must be able to stand and sit all day
- Must be able to lift, pull, push, carry up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the day
- Able to stand and use dexterity of arms and shoulders to lift products
