The Member Service Representative is the primary point of contact for members and is responsible for processing member account activity as well as interacting with members to address their account questions.
Part-time position, 3 days week, M, W, F (days may fluctuate occasionally)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Support members by telephone or in person to provide information and/or answer general member account questions.
- Process member payments through cash register, drive-up window, or night deposit.
- Initiate and close account transfers, reconnects, disconnects and new service orders.
- Initiate service orders for tree work, security lights and other miscellaneous items.
- Perform office support functions.
- Complete gas applications, transfers, job sheets, obtain lease agreements and SPCs.
- Responsible for assisting and selling broadband services to customers. Describe the features, benefits and value of broadband product offerings and services.
- Responsible for taking Tier 1 trouble ticket calls from customers and troubleshooting to identify appropriate resolution.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have an equivalent of the following education and/or experience.
- A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required
- 2 years of customer service, sales and computer knowledge.
- 1 year experience handling money in a business environment

- Excellent verbal communication skills including the ability to describe and explain concepts
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion regarding member financial information and other sensitive information
- Written communication skills including mastery of grammar and punctuation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented office environment.
- Ability to multitask.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time at your workstation.
- Strong sensory skills, such as good hearing, dexterity, feeling and good eyesight, including the use of peripheral vision.
- Ability to speak clearly.
- Ability to interact frequently with others, both in person and through phone, e-mail, and written correspondence.
