Production Operator - 3rd Shift (D Charles)

Location:

Greensburg, IN / Shelbyville, IN (as listed in original posting). This role involves operating production equipment, ensuring quality and safety standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

• Carry out one or more production operations in compliance with defined standards; detect and report anomalies.
• Clean and maintain machines and their workstation.
• Complete production monitoring documents.
• Supply the workstation with raw materials, packaging items and small equipment, checking their conformity.
• Check and control quality at the entrance and exit of the machine; condition parts, isolate defective products, and alert by opening a QRAP where applicable.
• Monitor the program and the smooth running of manufacturing while respecting safety, quality and productivity standards.
• Participate in or perform series changes and quality control operations requiring additional technical skills.
• Ensure proper functioning of production tools and perform level 1 maintenance as needed.
• Be guarantor of 5S at the position; inform the team leader or supervisor of problems and pass on position instructions to the next shift; participate in daily and monthly meetings and training.
• Participate in improvement projects and carry out adjustment/parameterization operations on production equipment as applicable.
• Adhere to environmental, energy, health and safety policies; alert to deviations and participate in continuous improvement processes (PAs).
• Be versatile within scope and support/training as defined by site criteria; may partially replace higher-qualified roles and be multi-competent across areas as needed.

• Experience operating production equipment and performing basic quality checks is implied by responsibilities.
• Ability to participate in continuous improvement and adhere to 5S, safety, and environmental guidelines.
