Assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-acutely ill patients and assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment. On-the-job instruction relative to specific patient needs and continuing in-service training, so that patient safety may be assured and the personal care and homemaking needs of the patient are adequately met. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Certified Nursing Assistants:
Completion of a certified home health aide course
Passing Score on Certified Registry
Certified by State Department of Health Services.
Current BLS
Personal Care Assistants:
Must provide 40 Hour Training Certificate
Current BLS
