Position Title

PCA / CNA / Resident Assistant at Mississippi Department of Employment Security

• Responsible for providing nursing assistant care to residents under the direction of an assisted living facility health care provider.
• Will interact directly and assist with monitoring residents in an assisted living environment to ensure compassionate care is provided.
• Assist with daily living activities, including delivering meals to residents, assist with ambulation and providing plenty of water as well as extra nourishment between meals.
• Assist residents with personal hygiene, such as baths, shampoos and showers.
• Assist with adjunct care for the residents, including ice packs, sterile dressings and therapeutic baths.
• Check vital signs and record daily information in the resident's chart. Will change residents' beds when needed, clean day room nightly, assist the nurses and other staff as needed, and other duties as assigned.

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Completion of the State Approved Certification Training Course (CNA, PCA, CPR, etc.).
• Must have Basic Computer Skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and effectively, high communication skills, including the ability to communicate sensitive information with empathy (bedside manner), and a high tolerance for working under pressure and handling critical situations with a cool head.
