• Manage, motivate, train, and build expertise for maintenance personnel.
• Promote and continually improve the safety culture of the work group and site.
• Collaborate with site leadership to develop and lead an overall maintenance and reliability improvement strategy.
• Work with the Operational Supervisor and planner/scheduler to manage maintenance employees on projects, repairs, and preventative maintenance in a timely manner.
• Oversee the hiring and use of contractors and contracted maintenance employees on company property and equipment, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Utilize the SAP system to track projects, purchases, preventative maintenance, and work orders.
• Develop and execute small projects to improve plant operation and reliability.
• Build and document a thorough knowledge of plant equipment and machinery.
• Recommend and purchase new equipment, tools, and repair parts within budget, assisting in the Capex process as necessary.
• Assist in the purchase, design, and installation of equipment in work areas.
• Maintain an efficient parts and supply inventory, ensuring critical spares are available when needed.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment for the maintenance department.
• Promote positive team relationships within the Maintenance team and with site employees.

• Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Engineering; experience may be considered in lieu of education.
• Preferred 3‑5+ years of plant experience.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to work well with others.
• Ability to set priorities and manage multiple improvement initiatives.
• Physically and medically capable of wearing a respirator.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
• Ability to work in close quarters, elevated workplaces, and confined spaces.
• Capability to work in varying temperatures.
