What You'll Do- Manage, motivate, train, and build expertise for maintenance personnel.
- Promote and continually improve the safety culture of the work group and site.
- Collaborate with site leadership to develop and lead an overall maintenance and reliability improvement strategy.
- Work with the Operational Supervisor and planner/scheduler to manage maintenance employees on projects, repairs, and preventative maintenance in a timely manner.
- Oversee the hiring and use of contractors and contracted maintenance employees on company property and equipment, ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Utilize the SAP system to track projects, purchases, preventative maintenance, and work orders.
- Develop and execute small projects to improve plant operation and reliability.
- Build and document a thorough knowledge of plant equipment and machinery.
- Recommend and purchase new equipment, tools, and repair parts within budget, assisting in the Capex process as necessary.
- Assist in the purchase, design, and installation of equipment in work areas.
- Maintain an efficient parts and supply inventory, ensuring critical spares are available when needed.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment for the maintenance department.
- Promote positive team relationships within the Maintenance team and with site employees.
- Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Engineering; experience may be considered in lieu of education.
- Preferred 3‑5+ years of plant experience.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to work well with others.
- Ability to set priorities and manage multiple improvement initiatives.
- Physically and medically capable of wearing a respirator.
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
- Ability to work in close quarters, elevated workplaces, and confined spaces.
- Capability to work in varying temperatures.
