Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive primary and preventive care for patients of all ages—including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and chronic disease management.
  • Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, etc.).
  • Prescribe medications and develop individualized care plans.
  • Provide patient and family education on disease prevention, self-care, and wellness.
  • Maintain accurate EHR documentation in compliance with state/federal guidelines.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to ensure coordinated care.
  • Participate in quality improvement, community health initiatives.
  • Adhere to all clinic policies, regulatory standards, and maintain licensure.
Qualifications
  • Master’s or Doctorate degree from an accredited NP program.
  • Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Mississippi (or eligible to obtain).
  • National NP certification (e.g., ANCC or AANP).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ clinical experience in primary care or family practice—a rural clinic background is a plus.
  • Proficiency with EHR systems.
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based care across diverse populations.
