We are seeking an experienced Heavy Civil Estimator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience estimating heavy civil projects and extensive proficiency with HCSS Heavy Bid software
. This role is essential in preparing accurate cost estimates and bids for large-scale civil construction projects, including sitework, utilities, roadway, grading, and paving.

The Estimator will collaborate closely with project managers, contractors, and clients to deliver precise pricing and maintain budgetary control throughout the construction process.

Job location:

In-person (Greenville, NC).

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• Develop comprehensive cost control strategies to ensure projects remain within budget.
• Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam and Heavy Bid for efficient estimation processes.
• Collaborate with project management teams to assess project requirements and timelines.
• Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable pricing and terms.
• Conduct site visits to gather information on construction site conditions and requirements.
• Prepare detailed reports outlining estimated costs and project scopes for review by stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, contracts, and changes throughout the project lifecycle.

• Proven experience in construction management or a related field with a strong understanding of cost estimation processes.
• Familiarity with project management principles and practices is essential.
• Proficiency in using estimation software such as Bluebeam and Heavy Bid is required.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with contractors and suppliers.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in estimates.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
