ResponsibilitiesSpecial Education Teachers are responsible for working with students who have emotional, learning, and physical disabilities and are eligible for specific programs and services as determined by an IEP committee. Teachers identify students with special needs, organize student caseloads using an effective IEPC system, and establish and implement strategies to best assist those with disabilities. They may also collaborate with at-risk students in the general education population and classrooms while supporting students with special needs.
Special Education Teachers are considered regularly scheduled employees, and we look forward to their return in the coming years.
