Are you passionate about preparing the next generation of cybersecurity professionals? Under general supervision, the Instructor for Cybersecurity will teach courses in Networking and Cybersecurity within the Computer Technologies department. This role goes beyond the classroom—helping maintain Pitt Community College’s designation as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity, leading outreach activities, and supporting professional development opportunities through the Cyber Center.

- Teach engaging, hands‑on courses in Computer Technologies with a focus on Networking and Cybersecurity.
- Develop course materials including lesson plans, tests, assignments, rubrics, and group activities.
- Create and manage online course content in Moodle and publisher platforms.
- Maintain student records, attendance, and progress reports accurately and on time.
- Provide academic advising, hold student conferences, and support accessibility needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to sustain and expand the Cyber Center and its community impact.
- Lead outreach and professional development initiatives for students, faculty, and industry partners.
- Contribute to curriculum development, program evaluation, and industry engagement.

- Associate degree or higher in Cybersecurity, Networking, or related discipline from a regionally accredited institution.
- At least one (1) current certification meeting DoD 8570.01-m IA Level 2 baseline, such as:
- CompTIA Security+
- (ISC)² SSCP
- CompTIA CySA+
- EC-Council CND
- One to two years of teaching and/or professional IT Security experience (or equivalent).
- Demonstrated ability to use instructional technologies and deliver engaging, hands‑on instruction.
- Bilingual language skills preferred
