Job DutiesThe Department of Cardiovascular Sciences at East Carolina University, Brody School of Medicine, has temporary faculty positions across various clinical sections of cardiovascular diseases. These part‑time, temporary faculty positions may include teaching, clinical, research, and administrative duties.
Clinical sections represented include:
Structural Heart Disease, Electrophysiology & Arrhythmias, Heart Failure, Primary and Secondary Prevention, and Vascular Diseases.
- Positions are available at titles of Clinical Instructor, Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, Clinical Professor, Teaching Assistant Professor, Teaching Associate Professor, Teaching Professor, Research Assistant Professor, Research Associate Professor, and Research Professor.
- Positions are 12‑month, fixed‑term appointments.
- Positions are contingent upon availability of funds.
- Position will remain open until 12/31/2026.
- MD or DO from an appropriately accredited institution, or foreign medical education accepted and recognized for ECFMG Certification.
- For research faculty:
Master’s degree in the specialty for which considered, from an appropriately accredited institution.
- Clinical faculty must be eligible for a North Carolina medical license and be board‑eligible/certified in the appropriate discipline to provide patient care.
- PhD preferred for research faculty.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis.
