Job Description
Third Street Academy – 600 W. 3rd Street, Greenville, NC 27834 – is currently seeking several Federal Work Study Students to serve as Principals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the classroom teacher with instructional tasks, preparation of materials, and classroom management.
- Provide tutoring in reading, math, and other core subjects under the direction of the teacher.
- Supervise and support students during independent work, transitions, and enrichment activities.
- Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning concepts introduced by the teacher.
- Monitor student behavior and report concerns to the appropriate staff.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and positive learning environment.
- Maintain confidentiality of student records and school matters.
- High school diploma or equivalent (required);
Associate’s degree or working towards degree. - Prior experience working with children or in a school setting (preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, flexibility, and a willingness to take direction
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to the mission and values of Third Street Academy
