Join Physicians East, P.A., a dynamic team of healthcare professionals dedicated to delivering high-quality, cost‑efficient, and comprehensive care to the people of Eastern North Carolina. We’re looking for a passionate Registered Dietitian to provide expert nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy in a fast‑paced, patient‑centric environment.
Location & Schedule- Greenville, NC
- Monday‑Friday | 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- Occasional overtime may be required to ensure exceptional patient care.
- Weekend work is rare but may be necessary in unique circumstances.
As a Registered Dietitian
, you’ll be a vital part of our interdisciplinary clinical team, providing tailored medical nutrition therapy and nutrition counseling to meet each patient’s medical goals.
- Direct patient care and nutrition counseling
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff
- Develop educational materials
- Precept interns and mentor new staff
- Ensure continuity of care and documentation excellence
- Deliver age‑appropriate, culturally sensitive nutrition counseling
- Evaluate and monitor nutritional status using established guidelines
- Integrate nutrition into treatment plans with physicians
- Maintain RD credentials and participate in professional development
- Attend meetings and contribute to committees as needed
- Uphold strict confidentiality and professional standards
- Degree in Food & Nutrition, Dietetics, Nutritional Sciences, or related field
- Completion of a coordinated program or 900+ supervised hours
- Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist (LDN) in North Carolina
- Minimum 1 year of post‑graduate experience
- Proficiency in EMR systems, voice dictation (Dragon), and documentation
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently
- Adaptability, teamwork, and a commitment to patient‑first care
- Requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs
- Exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids
- Normal office and clinic environment with occasional emergency situations
