Position SummaryThese professionals calibrate and set up radiation therapy equipment and position patients to ensure accurate treatments and pinpoint radiation doses to tumor areas, minimizing exposure to normal and critical surrounding structures. This work must be performed with the highest level of accuracy to achieve the expected treatment outcome.
Radiation Therapists are accountable for maintaining daily quality assurance measures on linear accelerators and other departmental equipment. They also instruct radiation therapy students, medical physics graduate students, medical residents, and other health‑care providers on the operation of radiation therapy machines and demonstrate specific procedures and techniques. Additionally, they provide assistance on cancer research projects.
Minimum Requirements- Current RT (R)(T) certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiology.
- American Heart Association BLS Certification.
- Associate Degree or higher.
- 10+ years of related experience.
- Graduation from a Radiation Therapy Technologist program approved by the Council of Allied Health Education and Accreditation and certification‑eligible by the ARRT in Radiation Therapy Technology.
- All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

- Monday – Friday start time 7:30 am/8:00 am
