ECU Department of Student Health Services is seeking Emergency Medical Technicians to join Campus Emergency Medical Services (Campus EMS). Campus EMS provides first responder BLS emergency response to on-campus emergencies, stands by for on-campus events, and offers emergency education to students, faculty, staff, and the university community.
Campus EMS collaborates with supporting first response agencies to keep our campus safe and promote the health and well-being of the entire campus by providing on-campus 911 response in support of Greenville Fire & Rescue and Pitt County EMS.
Duties include being on medical standby at various on-campus events, providing campus emergency education to faculty and students, and supporting Student Health Services clinical operations.
Preferred QualificationsCandidates must hold EMT-B certification and be able to commit to evening, overnight and weekend availability each semester.
Freshman applicants who are in good academic standing, have EMS experience, and demonstrate technical proficiency with clinic procedures and skills are strongly preferred.
