Overview
Welcome to InTown Suites! We are seeking a Property Attendant at one of our hotel properties. The Property Attendant provides a quiet, safe environment for guests and serves as the property’s emergency contact after office hours. The role is not a security position and the attendant is prohibited from possessing firearms or dangerous weapons while on InTown property. The incumbent should be alert to safety or security issues and contact the proper authorities or the General Manager as needed, without directly interjecting in incidents.

- Patrol the property when the office is closed
- Live on the property and be on-call five to six days per week as jointly determined by the Regional Operations Manager and General Manager
- On-call schedule:
Mon-Sat between 7:00 PM–7:00 AM and 7:00 AM Sunday–7:00 AM Monday - Immediately report any safety or security issues to the General Manager or Regional Operations Manager and contact local authorities if warranted
- Respond to minor maintenance issues, guest needs, complaints, and concerns in a professional and courteous manner, both in person and by phone after office hours
- Obtain guest lists nightly to ensure only authorized guests access rooms and the property
- Obtain a vacant room report nightly to ensure all vacant rooms are secured
- Establish good communication and professional relationships with property guests
- Complete three thorough inspection rounds weekly: approximately 7:00 PM, 9:00 PM, and after midnight (Monday–Saturday)
- Complete six thorough inspection rounds on Sunday, spaced between 7:00 AM and 11:00 PM, with one round after midnight
- Document all inspection rounds and incidents on the Property Attendant Checklist and note issues on the Daily Action Plan for the General Manager’s investigation
- Verify IDs to provide access to rooms for guests who become locked out, following company procedures
- Ensure the property is clean, free of trash/debris, and that storage and employee areas are secured nightly
- Perform other tasks assigned by supervisor and follow the on-call schedule
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret information in internal hotel communications
- Ability to read, speak, and write effectively to interact with guests and staff
- Ability to self-supervise with limited supervision
- Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and any other combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
- High school diploma preferred but not required
- Indoor work on hard and carpeted surfaces
- Work on uneven surfaces in hot, cold, and wet conditions; climb and stand on ladders up to about 30 feet
- Frequent walking, standing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, bending, crouching and/or crawling
- Stand and walk for extended periods at a quick pace in crowded or confined areas
- Lifting and carrying over 50 lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs
- Ability to reach with arms outstretched or overhead
