Optomi, in partnership with a leading healthcare organization, is seeking a Network Engineer II to support the design, installation, and maintenance of complex network systems in a large-scale, mission-driven healthcare environment. This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in network infrastructure and a commitment to operational excellence, cybersecurity, and high availability.

Experience of the right candidate:

• 2–4 years of hands-on network engineering experience (healthcare environment preferred).
• Solid knowledge of routers, switches, firewalls, and general internet/network protocols.
• Experience with security patching, IOS upgrades, and planned maintenance activities.
• Working knowledge of root-cause analysis and After Action Review (AAR) processes.
• Familiarity with hybrid environments and network security compliance best practices.
• Relevant certifications such as Network+, CCNA (Routing/Switching, Security, Wireless) are required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred (not required).

Responsibilities of the Right Candidate:

• Assist with installation, configuration, and maintenance of enterprise network infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve diverse network issues independently or as part of a team.
• Support feasibility studies and participate in network architecture design discussions.
• Conduct planned maintenance activities including IOS updates and security patching.
• Support root-cause analysis efforts and assist with producing After Action Reviews (AARs).
• Collaborate with Security Operations to ensure compliance and protection of sensitive data.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to support 24x7 operations for critical healthcare systems.
• Stay current with technology trends to anticipate impacts on the network and propose improvements.
