Operations Manager, Program / Project Manager
We are looking for a Controls Project Manager to oversee all aspects of control projects, ensuring timely completion, customer satisfaction, and efficient use of resources.
Responsibilities- Responsible for timely completion of assigned projects and customer satisfaction
- Plan and analyze projects, establish schedules and parameters, and set procedures to achieve system objectives, including complex contracting applications
- Communicate with customers and their representatives, including building owners, mechanical contractors, subcontractors, and field support staff
- Examine and review contracts and estimates by performing risk analysis and developing risk plans
- Ensure compliance with internal contracting processes
- Establish and manage the operations budget for assigned projects, revising estimates based on validated scope
- Maintain the accuracy of forecasted cost at completion and control expenses by monitoring project budget
- Create and revise project schedules, including tasks, estimates, dependencies, milestones, CPM analysis, and histogram analysis
- Oversee preparation of Trane material and vendor orders, record receipt of materials, and approve payments
- Prepare and manage subcontractor RFQs, including scope statements, plans, milestone dates, specifications, bonding requirements, and billing schedules
- Receive and qualify subcontractor proposals, supervise project staff, subcontractors, and installers
- Generate technician work orders, review plans and progress, and prioritize tasks
- Meet with contractors and owners to discuss scope, budgets, performance, and closeout
- Support the sales function by assisting with quote preparation and proposals as required
- Manage project cash‑flow, including progress billing, collections support, monitoring, and resource management
- Manage change orders by recommending solutions and facilitating quotes
- Maintain quality standards for assigned projects
- Investigate customer concerns, implement corrective action, and communicate with customers and staff
- Establish professional relationships with customers and provide accurate status reports and project reviews
- Obtain acceptance and timely sign‑off of the project by the customer
- Ensure successful transition of warranty to the service process
- Comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, and recommended best practices
- Collaborate with all Associates to uphold the company's mission and values
- Travel approximately 30% of the time
- High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
- 3+ years of commercial HVAC experience
- Proficiency with computer devices (laptops, smartphones) and working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Apple iOS software
- Ability to pass a drug screening
- Ability to prove U.S. employment eligibility
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
Work Hours: Monday through Friday, overtime and weekends as required.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to talk or hear, walk, and use hands to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and telephone keyboard. The job requires local travel, standing, sitting, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching. The associate must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally up to 100 pounds.
