Commercial Panel Fabrication & Estimating Specialist | Capital Electric
Join us as a Commercial Panel Fabrication & Estimating Specialist at Capital Electric, a leading electrical distributor offering products and services to contractors across the Mid‑Atlantic and South Atlantic regions.
Responsibilities Estimation Duties- Interpret and analyze electrical project specifications, blueprints, and schematics.
- Develop accurate bills of materials (BOM) and cost estimates for custom panel boards and combination starters.
- Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to ensure client requirements are fully understood and met.
- Source and price components, ensuring cost‑efficiency and timely procurement.
- Prepare detailed proposals and timelines for fabrication and delivery.
- Assemble and wire custom Electrical Panel Boards and NEMA Combination Starters according to client specifications and industry standards.
- Ensure all builds meet safety codes, quality benchmarks, and performance expectations.
- Conduct quality control checks throughout the fabrication process.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues during the build process to ensure timely delivery.
- Proven experience in electrical panel fabrication and/or estimating in a commercial or industrial setting.
- Strong understanding of NEMA standards, electrical schematics, and wiring practices.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and documentation.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship.
