NC CIVIL is a Greenville NC nonprofit that provides capacity-building support to local vulnerable communities to address population disparities. Our ONE Carolina Initiative brings together community activism, academia, nonprofits, and institutions for a whole-system approach that empowers residents to shape their communities. The initiative includes:
- CIVILab research component: a community-based hub for learning and scientific inquiry.
- Strong Neighborhoods component: leveraging data to support vulnerable communities in establishing planning councils.
- Community-Centered Partnership Model: engaging sector leaders and local partners to support communities.

Member Duties: Support the establishment of a community-engaged disparities lab, facilitating research, data analysis, trainings, workshops, and community projects involving researchers, students, and residents.
