Position OverviewWayne Health Care is seeking a motivated Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) to join a collaborative and well-supported Emergency Department team. This position offers a balanced mix of autonomy and physician support in a community hospital setting with comprehensive specialty backup.
Emergency Department Details- Annual ED Volume: ~19,000 visits
- Facility: 19-bed Emergency Department
- Coverage Model:
- 24-hour physician coverage
- 10 hours of APP (MLP) coverage daily
- APP
Shifts:
12 hour - Electronic Medical Record: Epic

The APP will provide comprehensive emergency care, including but not limited to:
- Evaluation and management of low- to moderate-acuity emergency patients
- Performing history and physical>
- Ordering, interpreting, and documenting diagnostic studies
- Developing and implementing treatment plans
- Performing common ED procedures within credentialed scope
- Patient and family education
Physician Assistant (PA):
- Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- PA‑C certification (NCCPA)
- Current Ohio Physician Assistant licensure (or eligibility)
Nurse Practitioner (NP):
- Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- National Nurse Practitioner certification (AANP or ANCC)
- Current Ohio Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensure (or eligibility)
