This role focuses on programming, setting up, and running Studer Cylindrical CNC grinders while maintaining production efficiencies.

Individual will be responsible for programming, setting up, and running Studer Cylindrical CNC grinders while maintaining production efficiencies. Must have good attention to detail and accustomed to working and measuring to close tolerance and delicate parts. Responsible for maintaining work quality and performing in-process inspection while maintaining corporate values.

• Setup and operating Studer CNC cylindrical grinder. Including OD and .
• Writing new programs to meet print requirements.
• Work must conform to exacting tolerances with allowances made for effects of temperature and aging of materials.
• Identifying and resolving issues that may arise during the grinding process, such as machine malfunctions or quality defects.
• Able to perform shop math and calculations as necessary to complete assigned tasks.
• Know different tooling to perform at maximum efficiency.
• Follow established company policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Maintain a clean work environment and machine work area.
• Read process sheets and mechanical drawings.

• High school diploma or GED/Technical Training Certificate/Equivalent experience.
• 2-4 years of grinding experience.
• Proficient using Studer Pictogramming.
• Could require intermittent long periods of sitting, standing and/or walking.
li>Periodic lifting of materials not to exceed 40 pounds.
• Advanced skill level cylindrical grinders.
• Competency using micrometers, indicators, height gage, air gaging of the like.
• Willing to work beyond normal hours if needed.
• An understanding of both Metric and English measuring systems.
• Ability to understand blueprints.
• Ability to hold dimensional, parallel, perpendicular, and flatness tolerances.
• Ability to true‑up grinding wheels.

• Generally working in production environment.
• Required exposure to industrial oils, coolants, solvents, lubricants, adhesive and other chemicals.

• Requirement for some independent actions and/or decisions is expected.

Some repetitive motion required on occasion.

• Required daily: periodic lifting of materials and parts weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Required intermittent long periods sitting and standing.
• Required to do repetitive work.
