Description:
This position is for a high acuity step-down, low acuity ICU unit.
The unit currently serves as the designated COVID unit.
Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1 to 2.Electronic medical record system used is CPSI-Evident.
Weekend work is required every other weekend.
Holiday work will depend on schedule and staff availability.
Scrub color is royal blue.
Staff will be expected to float to Med Surg/Tele unit.
Common diagnoses include sepsis, COPD, DKA, overdose, renal issues, surgical patients, and respiratory issues.
PPE supply is adequate with N95 masks used for 24 hours before disposal.
An ECG exam will be required on the first day.
Travelers may cancel one week's worth of guaranteed hours over the 13-week period.
