Accounting Clerk

Description We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to join a Contract assignment supporting financial operations in Greenville, Pennsylvania. This position will help keep accounting records organized and up to date while assisting the team with high-volume transactional work. The ideal candidate brings strong accuracy, sound knowledge of core accounting processes, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

- Process vendor invoices, verify supporting details, and ensure payables are entered accurately and on time.

- Record incoming payments, update customer account activity, and help maintain accurate receivables balances.

- Enter financial information into accounting systems with a high degree of precision and attention to detail.

- Review accounting records for discrepancies, research issues, and support timely corrections when needed.

- Assist with clearing outstanding transaction backlogs by organizing documentation and completing pending entries.

- Support the validation and reconciliation of financial data associated with moving records between accounting platforms.

- Maintain orderly files for invoices, payment records, and related accounting documents for easy retrieval.

- Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure daily tasks are completed in line with internal procedures and reporting needs. Requirements - Experience handling accounts payable and accounts receivable activities in a detail-oriented setting.

- Proficiency with Quick Books and confidence working within accounting software systems.

- Strong data entry skills with a consistent focus on speed and accuracy.

- Background in invoice processing, including reviewing, entering, and tracking payment-related documents.

- Solid attention to detail and the ability to identify inconsistencies in financial records.

- Effective organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

- Clear communication skills and the ability to work well with accounting staff and business partners.
