In this challenging role, you will be supporting the ACC-Academic Connections department at Greenville Technical College. Duties may include any or all of the following.
- Attend every FYE College Skills class session for which assigned, assist College Skills faculty, and facilitate group activities for the College Skills class
- Attend a weekly scheduled meeting with College Skills faculty
- Attend a weekly Peer Leader planning meeting
- Maintain one office hour Monday - Thursday
- Coordinate one social activity/team building event per month for FYE students
- Participate and help coordinate service learning projects for FYE students
- Participate in all training sessions prior to the start of classes
- Attend a minimum of two FYE events
- Maintain a class email list to correspond with students about campus events and other FYE activities
- Educate students on college resources available
- Support the academic success of all FYE students by building relationships with students in the FYE College Skills classes
- Assist students with the transition into College
- Collaborate with faculty, advisors, campus services, student activities, organizations, and more to maximize the quality of the FYE experience
- Submit a monthly report to the FYE office
- Perform other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSMust be a current, registered student at Greenville Technical College; must have a cumulative GPA of 2.25 or higher; successfully completed College Skills or Freshman Seminar with a grade of "B" or better.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSKnowledgeable about campus resources and support services available to students. Be able to demonstrate the following skills: positive attitude, self motivation, communication skills, ability to problem solve and think creatively, and work in a team environment.
