Requirements- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Related coursework or 36+ hours of higher‑education credit for co‑curricular subjects

History teachers at Ascent create engaging, rigorous lessons that bring the past to life through primary texts and Socratic inquiry. Students examine historical questions about virtue, justice, and society, and apply them to contemporary contexts.
Duties & Responsibilities- Create a safe classroom environment for all students.
- Design thoughtful, curriculum‑aligned lessons.
- Maintain an orderly classroom and provide timely, meaningful assessment.
- Engage students with Socratic questioning.
- Model intelligence, character, and moral integrity.
- Assist students with individualized needs and make‑up work.
- Communicate regularly with parents.
- Attend school events, staff meetings, and professional development.
- Uphold school dress, behavior, and safety policies.
- Maintain gradebook, monitor progress, and prepare reports.
- Participate in campus meetings and leadership as required.
- Continuously develop knowledge of Western civilization and teaching methods.
- Maintain professional appearance and punctual attendance.
