The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders is one of eight departments within the College of Allied Health Sciences. It offers a comprehensive range of degree programs, including a Bachelor of Science in Speech and Hearing Sciences, a Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders (for those pursuing careers in speech-language pathology), a Doctor of Audiology (AuD), and a PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences.
The Department plays a prominent role within the College, with a strong physical presence in the Health Sciences Building. The ECU Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic occupies the first floor, the Department's research laboratories are located on the second floor, and the academic and administrative offices are housed on the third floor.
Job Duties
We are currently inviting applications for a 12-month, tenure-track position in Audiology at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The successful candidate will contribute significantly to the AuD program, with primary responsibilities in research, teaching doctoral-level audiology courses, and service. There may also be opportunities to provide clinical audiology services in the ECU Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic.

Minimum Education /Experience
An earned Ph.D. from an appropriately accredited institution in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a closely related discipline.
License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation
None
Preferred Experience , Skills, Training/Education
Ability to obtain state licensure and ASHA certification.
