Organizational Unit Overview:
The mission of the college is to serve as a national model for transforming the health of rural underserved regions through excellence and innovation in nursing education, leadership, research, scholarship, and practice.
The East Carolina University College of Nursing is currently seeking applications for a full‑time fixed‑term faculty position. Faculty responsibilities include planning, teaching, and evaluating theory, lab, and clinical courses; this may include classroom/didactic, lab and/or clinical instruction, and online teaching using the University’s approved learning management system. Contingent upon the availability of funds.
Non‑tenure requires a Master’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution in nursing. A valid non‑restricted North Carolina nursing license is required upon employment. Two years of clinical nursing experience are required.
License or Certification Required By Statute or RegulationA valid non‑restricted North Carolina nursing license is required upon employment.
Preferred Experience , Skills, Training/EducationA PhD in Nursing or a closely related discipline with a graduate degree in nursing or an MSN in Nursing Education is preferred. Preference will be given to applicants with recent clinical and teaching experience. Teaching experience and national specialty certification are preferred. The ideal candidate will demonstrate interest and expertise in psych/mental health nursing.
